Tiny Tips Registration Due

The Tiny TIPS Mission is to help early childhood care providers manage the emotional and behavioral consequences they will encounter when our tiniest children re-enter care settings in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We seek to equip providers to recognize and respond to symptoms of distress and trauma in the youngest segment of our population. The Tiny TIPS program recognizes the toll that caring for children impacted by these stressors takes on care providers, and we seek to help staff be as prepared as possible, personally and professionally. The TinyTips offered within our workshop will help early-childhood educators foster healing and resilience for the children within their care and allow educators to continue the very important work of ensuring our youngest children are set-up to reach their full potential.

Program Components

  • Workshop content delivered by expert faculty from the Missouri Academy of Child Trauma Studies at UMSL.
  • DHS approved Continuing Education Requirements
  • Virtual site visits with MoACTS experts to incorporate trauma-sensitive strategies into participants’ care settings (optional).
  • Twice-monthly consultation groups will be offered to reinforce training content, conduct case consultation, and to strengthen educator peer support (optional).
  • Attendance prizes and giveaways!

We hope you will consider joining us for the Tiny TIPS workshop series. The workshops are offered virtually to care providers in St. Louis County and are offered free due to generous funding from St. Louis County Cares.

Participants can choose from EITHER

  • A five-workshop series on Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm (starting August 27th-September 24th) OR
  • A two-Saturday series on August 29th (9:00-2:30) and September 12th (9:00-12:00).
