Working to empower families in need to achieve stability
When a family comes to Helping Hand Me Downs, they first ensure each family has the clothing and other essential items necessary to parent effectively. They then assist families in finding stable employment and safe housing, while connecting emotionally through one-on-one life coaching.
Their services allow social workers and nurses on the front lines to meet a need previously unmet for their clients. HHMD is viewed as the "glue" working alongside other agencies, and bringing in others if needed, to best serve families.
