The Missouri Coordinating Board for Early Childhood (CBEC) is recruiting members for two (2) workgroups to further the efforts of the Early Care & Education Strategic Plan. The Building Strong Systems (Goal 1) workgroup will be chaired by Dr. Val Lane, CBEC member and the Bridging Access and Quality (Goal 2) workgroup will be chaired by Ms. Jo Anne Ralston, CBEC member.
The CBEC is committed to promoting an equitable, diverse, and inclusive system for young children and families in Missouri. With this in mind, we would like to extend an invitation to individuals representing racial, ethnic, and regional groups currently underrepresented, along with all other individuals committed to supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion. If interested in becoming a member of these workgroups, we ask that you complete the Interest Form by January 25, 2021.
In addition to the chair of the workgroup, the core workgroup will be comprised of ten members. There will be an opportunity for expanded membership across the workgroups as work priorities are discussed and categorized. The scope of work, or “charge of the workgroup” will be driven by the priority areas, strategies, and action steps that fall within the specific goal area. Please refer to the strategic plan for more specific details.
