A message from The St. Louis Regional Data Alliance at UMSL:

A Central Place to Find Local COVID-19 News and Resources

STL Response is a new dashboard that organizes the many powerful resource guides, news updates, and social media feeds that people across the region created to support their neighbors.

Like many of you, we have been working hard over the past few weeks to help people and local institutions respond to the growing COVID-19 crisis.

And also like many of you, we were a bit overwhelmed by the amount of good information in news feeds, resource guides, and hashtags.

That's why a growing number of community volunteers and the St. Louis Regional Data Alliance (RDA) built STL Response (stlresponse.org), a dashboard that brings together many of the best resources to help folks through this difficult time.

At STL Response, you will find:

• News feeds from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, St. Louis American, and St. Louis Public Radio
• A crowdsourced regional resource guide, now in partnership with WEPOWER
• An embedded Missouri Department of Health Chatbot
• Social media feeds from the STL Community Prep and #314together Facebook groups as well as the #314together Twitter hashtag
• Links to important resource hubs like United Way 211 and STL COVID Mutual Aid

We have been working hard to understand what's out there and collaborate with the folks assembling each of these resources whenever possible. However: We know we are missing things! 

If you have a suggestion for what we should add, please reach out to us at rda@umsl.edu and we'll do what we can to get it up ASAP. We prefer collections of information (like guides and feeds) over individual resources.

We want to give the biggest high five to Dave Menninger, a volunteer web developer with the RDA, who did the heavy lifting to get STL Response up and running. The site also couldn't have been built without the hard work, Slack messages, and Zoom calls between collaborators like Grace Kyung, Yoni Blumberg, Jay De Long, Julia Ho, and Haley Shoaf.

(P.S. This is obviously not an April Fools joke. We all agreed that it's cancelled this year, correct? Please?)
