No Small Matter: Virtual Screening & Discussion

Register for this free virtual event here

No Small Matter is one of the first feature documentaries to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for change in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years of a baby’s life. It reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country. A panel discussion will follow.

(The No Small Matter screening is an abridged version of the film for discussion purposes. The full-length feature will not air on Nine PBS.)

Panelists include:

Ellicia Lanier, Executive Director/Founder, Urban Sprouts
Amanda Lienau Purnell, PhD, Counseling Psychologist, Pattonville School Board, St. Ann, MO
Atia Thurman, MSW, Associate Director, Clark-Fox Policy Institute; Manager of Brown School Initiative

Screening begins at 7:00 pm, discussion begins at 7:45 pm.
